WINE BOOKS PHOTOGRAPHY
_________________________________
A LOOK BACK AT PAST WINNERS
Photography is one key to success for wine books. Wine book photographers are very specialized, and real artists.
For the past four years the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards have rewarded wine photography.
From 2000 to 2003 Gourmand has had competitions for wine photography in 10 countries. The list of winners includes some of the top stars of the wine photographs world, such as Andy Katz, Robert Bruno or Peter Knaup.
The winners for the Gourmand Awards 2004 for the different countries will be known at the end of November in each country, the winner for Best in the World 2004 will be announced on February 11, 2005 at the Gourmand World Gala event in Grythyttan, Sweden. The host for the event will be television star Yvan Cadiou, a French Chef who speaks English and has had many shows on BBC, Carlton, Gourmet TV and many others in different countries.
This year Gourmand has received 20% more books than last year, well over 4.000 books to compete in the various categories.
It is the Tenth Year for the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, created in 1994 to honour those who cook and drink with words.
