It is logical that the two healthiest sectors in book publishing around the world would get together. Cookbooks are not only recipes, they have become major cultural productions, and comics are expanding everywhere, with Japanese Manga, France Bandes Dessinées, and American comics.

FOOD TELEVISION : CELEBRATING 70 YEARS !!

The first cooking show on television was on BBC in London on January 21, 1937. Previously, there had been a short presentation talk on quick snacks in December 1936, by Moira Meighn with no cooking.

GOURMAND DVD BEIJING

We now have available two different DVD for the Beijing event:
-The 30 minutes China Food Network DVD, with 14 minutes in English with Chinese subtitles, and 16 minutes in Chinese only. It does not contain the advertising or any entertainment. It is a presentation for the Chinese of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. The Awards Ceremony is only 7 minutes.
-The complete 2 hours awards ceremony in 2 DVD, with all Chinese entertainment including singing, dancing, Kung Fu, fashion show. This is where Gourmand competes with the Oscars show.
