THE BEST FOOD IN THE WORLD IS IN MALAYSIA!!!

On October 20,2005 the Gourmand Party at the Frankfurt Book Fair was once again the meeting of 200 of the top publishers of cookbooks and wine books.

Edouard Cointreau, President and Founder of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards reviewed the excellent performance of the cookbook market in 2005, pushed by food tourism shows .

Edouard Cointreau also shared his views on the best food in the world:

    His best meal : at Alain Ducasse restaurant in Paris, most famous french recipes in honour of Maya Cointreau in the year 2000.

    The best recipes : the Oyster of Chef Alain Dutournier at the Carré des Feuillants in Paris, and the Frozen Duck Foie-Gras Quinoa with Consommé by Ferran Adria of El Bulli.

    His favourite restaurant in the world: now is the time to go to LEsguard next to Barcelona to discover total cooking, by brain doctor and chef Dr.Miguel Sánchez Romera.

    The country for best food in the world: Malaysia

More and more visitors rank food as the main motivation to come to Malaysia.

Malaysia is now the 7th world tourism destination :

A wide diversity of the best Asian food can be experienced in Kuala Lumpur, thanks to its multiethnic population. The quality is outstanding, in restaurants of all levels as well in the street food, with very low costs everywhere. South East Asia now inspires some of the top chef worldwide, such as Jean Georges Vongerichten and Gray Kunz in their New York restaurant Spice.

Malaysia is the only country to have officially appointed a Food Ambassador, Chef Wan. The star of Malaysia has hosted over 5000 television shows, actor in 11 films and 4 theater plays. He is the resident chef and premier star of the Asian Food Channel, now broadcast in 19 countries in Asia. Chef Wan is the official coordinator of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards on May 17-21, 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
