Michael Broadbent’s Vintage Wine, Fifty Years of Tasting over Three Centuries of Wine, by the world’s most experienced taster, Mi chael Broadbent. (Webster-Little Brown-in association with Christie’s – Great Britain)
This reference book could have been written by nobody else. It will remain a unique personal achievement, the result of 50 years of experience, which cannot be repeated.

This is the best book to understand today’s wine products and markets, by a team of the best wine writers in the world. It gives huge value for a very reasonable price. We hope it will be translated in all languages of wine producing countries, and in the languages of the major markets with new wine consumers such as Russia, China, Japan, etc. For wine professionals or lovers, do not leave home without it!. It should become a yearly publication, as wine works on a yearly cycle.

The Museum of Wine in Art Mouton Rothschild, The Museum of Wine in Art, Le Musée du Vin dans l’Art, Sandrine Herman, Julien Pascal Photographies: Peter Knaup (Imprimerie Nationale – France)
Published simultaneously in French and English, it is written by Sandrine Herman, a postgraduate degree from Ecole du Louvre, and Julien Pascal, a graduate of the Institut Superieur des Arts, in Paris. Julien Pascal is the pen name of Julien Sereys de Rothschild, second son of Philippine de Rothschild. Deeply attached to his family heritage, he was the instigator of this book devoted to one of the major achievements of his grandfather, Philippe de Rothschild. Photographer Peter Knaup is world famous for his work for fashion and other sectors. The Mouton Rothschild Museum has over 400 works of art. This book is a treasure for historians and wine lovers that should be in all libraires and museums. It is beautifully produced by Imprimerie Nationale, the French State National Printing Institution.

3.-Best Book in the World on French Wine

Richard Juhlin has become one of the three world authorities on Champagne, and certainly the only one with Champagne television shows. This book won the “Best Book of the Year” award at the Swedish Cookbook Awards 2003 in Grythyttan, the first time a wine book won ahead of cookbooks.

The history of Vega Sicilia has been published both in English and Spanish. Vega Sicilia has been considered for decades the best Spanish wine, in a class and style of its own. World famous author José Peñin is one of the best wine writers and tasters in Spain.

Italian wine book publishing is outstanding, often with much better quality than cookbooks. Supertuscans is published both in English and Italian editions.

This excellent book focuses on a well known region of Austria for the quality of its wines and food. Rudolf Lantschbauer is an excellent author and photographer as well as publisher.

Proudly presented by Montana Wines, this book is the definitive reference book on New Zealand wines, written in an open and friendly way for all readers, regardless of their previous wine experience.

This book is the biggest surprise among wine books this year. The cellars of Mexico were a well kept secret until it was published. An important book to understand wine today in Mexico.

These 12 guides are truly excellent, with excellent authors chosen specifically for each region.
9.-Best Drink Book in the World (Other than wine)
Winner:
The Liquid Kitchen, by Hayden Wood Photographer – designer : Esmeralda Wood (Drink Australia)
A very “hip” book, and a great source of inspiration. As the foreword says, it is a snaphot to early 21st Century drink recipes. The book has the best spirits photography and design in years, a real breakthrough that other publishers should see, with strong fashion and cinema photography influence.

This short story is a charming way to learn about wine. It is written as if wine itself wrote it, and it has both poetic and literary value as well as the best technical facts. The author is the owner – manager of Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Bordeaux – Medoc.

Swiss wines deserve to be better known, and this book is the source. The photos of Swiss vineyards are among the best we have ever seen. The photographer worked for 10 years for this book. The publisher is one of the best in the world, and adapted the design of the book to the photography, rather than the opposite. The back cover title says “Swiss Scenery Put in Bottles”
