Anne Willan and her husband Marc Cherniansky are coming from California for Paris Cookbook Fair. She is the founder of the prestigious École de Cuisine La Varenne, which operated in Burgundy at her Chateau du Fey from 1997 until 2007, and expanded into the US at the Greenbrier.

She published 14 cookbook titles - which have been translated into more than 24 languages – and is a former president of IACP-The International Association of Culinary Professionals.

In 2001, she came to the Gourmand Awards in Sorges , the Capital of the Truffles du Perigord to receive a "Best in the World Award" for her "Cookbook with Wine" (Abrams -2001), the definitive reference book which has remained the best on this subject ever since. She received two 2008 James Beard Foundation Book Awards for her cookbook "The Country Cooking of France" (Chronicle-2007)

Her latest book is "The Cookbook Library" (University of California Press-2012), about four centuries of the cooks, writers and recipes that made the modern cookbook. The cookbooks were selected by her husband Marc Cherniavsky from their own reference library of rare cookbooks, and Anne Willan updated the classic recipes to modern standards to make them possible for today's cook. This reference book should be in all serious culinary libraries, and cooking schools.

Her agent Lisa Ekus (IACP) will also be present at Paris Cookbook Fair. Anne Willan and Lisa Ekus will participate in round tables, about the US cookbook market, culinary history, and cooking school books.
